Plug Link into your computer
Connect normally with its FAT32 microSD card installed. Wait a few seconds, then press and release the small button twice within one second to enable USB setup. Keep Link plugged in while we set it up.
Don’t see your Link?
Close Ember Bridge or other tabs using the device. Plug Link in without holding the small button, wait for startup, then press and release it twice within one second. It restarts into USB setup; wait for Ember Link Setup to appear. Make sure a readable FAT32 microSD card is installed. Unplugging means you will need to enable USB setup again.
Building a Link? Start with the browser installer or DIY quick-start guide. For routine updates, use the normal firmware updater in Ember Bridge.
Installation preserves Wi-Fi, cloud credentials, Bridge pairing, and preferences on recognized compatible Links. Blank boards install directly. Supported boards with recognized preloaded firmware require separate approval before erasing internal firmware and settings. Unsupported or unrecognized installations stop safely.
Firmware installation never erases the microSD card. Preparing the card is optional and requires your approval before deleting files. Disconnect this USB session before opening the installer.
Setup takes place in your browser. You do not need to install Ember Bridge.
