Meet Ember Link

Your next design.
Without the USB shuffle.

Ember Link is a small Wi-Fi device that plugs into your embroidery machine鈥檚 USB port. Send a design wirelessly, then open it on your machine like a file on a USB drive.

Already have one? Set up your Link

A familiar USB workflow. A wireless way to get there.

  1. Plug into your machine

Set up Link鈥檚 Wi-Fi, then plug it into the USB port your machine uses to read design files.

  2. Send a design wirelessly

Use Bridge on your local network, or send straight from Ember through the cloud with Pro.

  3. Select it and stitch

Link stores the file on its microSD card. Open it on your machine just as you would a design on a USB drive.

Ember Pro 路 Cloud delivery

Your studio doesn鈥檛 have to be on your network.

Connect Link to your Ember account and send from the web editor to your machine鈥檚 Link, from the next room or another location. Link receives the file over the internet, with no Bridge app running in between.

  • Send directly from the Ember web editor
  • No Ember Bridge app or always-on computer beside the machine
  • Your browser and Link can be on different Wi-Fi networks
Ember Bridge 路 Free local delivery

Staying local? Bridge keeps it free.

Run Ember Bridge on your computer to send files to Link over the same local Wi-Fi network. Bridge handles the transfer, and your design stays on your network.

  • Send from Ember or choose a design saved on your computer
  • No Pro subscription or Ember account required for local file transfers
  • Your computer and Link connect over the same local Wi-Fi network
The DIY path

Build your own Ember Link.

Start with a LILYGO T-Dongle-S3 and a compatible microSD card. Our open-source firmware turns that hardware into an Ember Link. The quick-start guide walks you through the parts and setup.

Open source, and yours to explore. Ember Link鈥檚 firmware is MIT licensed. Inspect the code, adapt it to your own projects, or contribute improvements back to the community.

  1. Get the hardware

You鈥檒l need a LILYGO T-Dongle-S3 and a microSD card compatible with your embroidery machine. Check the guide and your machine鈥檚 USB storage requirements first.

  2. Install the firmware

Connect the device to your computer and follow the browser installer to put Ember Link firmware on it.

  3. Connect and send

Set up Wi-Fi, then move Link to your machine. Use Bridge for free local transfers, or connect your Ember account for Pro cloud delivery.
